There was no direct line of communication between 7-11 Corporate HQ and physical retail locations, and Store Managers needed more modern technology to perform their duties properly.
The only tools 7-11 Store Managers had, up until this point, were personal computers, spreadsheets, calculators, pen and paper. Neither reliable nor reasonable, conducting business this way leaves room for error, muddies communication, and offers zero traceability.

7-Eleven decided it was time to support Store Managers better by providing them with a real-time view of their inventory so they could run their business more efficiently.
We partnered with 7-Eleven to interview Store Managers, define business requirements and design a solution for employees to use with little-to-no training. Following the research and requirements definition, I led the interaction design, producing wireframes and UI designs, for the Dashboard, Store Floor Plan, and Store Walk.

Today, the Store Manager Portal helps managers handle inventory efficiently with less confusion and more visibility into the status of products in-transit, out-of-stock, and upcoming. It also enables staff to walk the store and update stock through an easy-to-use visualization that mirrors the store's layout.
